Winter sports lovers will find in the Pass Resia tourist area offers suitable for all tastes and levels of preparation: alpine skiing on magnificent and well-prepared slopes, cross-country skiing, ski tours, sledging, natural ice skating on the lakes and for all those who want to take it easy, walks, excursions and sledging through a fantastic snow-covered winter landscape.
The Pass Resia ski area with the Belpiano and St. Valenin ski areas make the hearts of winter sports enthusiasts beat faster: modern lifts and perfectly prepared slopes are at your disposal and guarantee perfect snow conditions until the end of April. The ski areas offer exceptional opportunities for skiers and snowboarders - the perfect conditions for your next winter holiday in South Tyrol.
Cross-country skiing is one of the most rewarding and tiring recreational activities to enjoy in the fresh air of our beautiful valley. 45 kilometers of cross-country ski runs on the high plateau around Lake Resia and Lake St. Valentin, through forests and sunny snow-covered meadows. The cross-country ski run continues over the pass Resia to Nauders on the Austrian side.
For those looking for a slope at an altitude of over 1900 meters, we recommend the always (in winter) snow-covered 15 km cross-country ski slope at the foot of the Palla Bianca, which is located in Vallelunga a side valley. It crosses unspoilt nature, forests, meadows and alpine pastures. The Nordic Ski Centre in Slingia, is instead the meeting point of the international cross-country skiing scene and can also be reached after a short drive.
Ski tours in the Upper Venosta Valley in South Tyrol
Experience nature far away from the ski slopes, it is a very special feeling that will make you relax and forget about all the problems. Breathe in the sparkling air, touch the fresh snow, see the numerous three-thousand-meters peaks and a steel-blue sky in the background. The fresh snow that slides under the skis awaits you and you will enjoy the feeling of freedom immersed in the adventure of the Upper Venosta Valley. In the middle of the mountains of Pass Resia, the wonderful ski tours in the Roia valley and Vallelunga invite you to practice ski mountaineering.
Here are some tours that we recommend:
Beautiful and easy, the mountain above Roia, the highest village of the Eastern Alps
A rewarding mountain in an enchanting landscape
Charming and challenging mountain deep in the Roia valley between the Venosta valley and the Lower Engadine in Switzerland
An enchanting ski mountaineering destination deep in the Roia valley, between Peak Grion and the Innerer Nockenkopf.
The Spi da Rusenna, better known to locals as "Seablöcher", is a ridge in the Roia valley, which stretches between the Innerer Nockenkopf Mountain and Äußerer Nockenkopf.
Two mountains to tackle with the skis and which are very rewarding
Magnificent and scenic summit at Pass Resia, near the border triangle between Italy, Austria and Switzerland, with a magnificent snow-capped descent on the steep southern slope.

The region offers a wide range of activities for all tastes, as does the entire Venosta valley. For those who want to try something new and stay away from the crowded slopes, the winter holidays in the Venosta Valley are particularly rich in opportunities: try for example snow kiting, sailing on ice or ice skating.
Lake Resia has recently become one of the landmarks in the international snow kiting scene. Thanks to its altitude, Lake Resia and the small Lake of St. Valentin are completely frozen for a long time. Once the kite has ta ken the famous Venosta wind, you can reach speeds of up to 100 km/h! A course for beginners is a must for all adrenalin hungry!
